Quit smoking
Quit Smoking using ear acupuncture
To quit smoking is often experienced as difficult, partly as a result of a physical addiction to nicotine and psychological dependence. Withdrawal symptoms often occur when nicotine is not supplemented. It can lead to sleeplessness, irritability, feelings of anxiety, eating and snack attacks. Especially in the first three weeks after having stopped, people experience difficulties.
Acupuncture is ideal to reduce unpleasant withdrawal symptoms. Apart from that, the treatment has a detoxifying effect.
Below follow four recommendations:
1. Quit smoking one day before treatment.
2. You are about to break through an automatic behaviour. It is recommended to create a new situation for your self. One possibility is to replace the habit of smoking with a positive habit for you.
3. A strong motivation to stop is of paramount importance.
4. Additional treatments for dealing with underlying disorders and supporting positive change.
The treatment will normally consist of 2 sessions with an interval of 1 to 2 weeks. The habit of smoking involves more than smoking itself. It is part of the whole physical, emotional, mental and spiritual make-up of a person. To quit smoking can be the start of a more comprehensive change and development process. Furthermore, there may be other disorders or difficulties that require attention. For a more sustainable result it is therefore recommended to have additional treatments.
